Team Chick Motorsports was started by Steve Chick Sr. and Steve Chick, Jr. in 2000 with the creation of a NASCAR Craftsman (now Camping World) Truck Series team. The team ran part-time seasons from 2001 through 2006. When Mandy Chick, Steve Chick, Jr's daughter, became old enough at the age of 5 to show an interest in driving race cars, Team Chick shifted their focus to Quarter Midgets. After traveling from coast-to-coast in the USAC Generation Next series for several years, Mandy was old enough to move up to "big" cars. After a couple seasons in dirt modifieds, the Team sought out Van Doorn Racing Development to build new Asphalt Late Models. Team Chick consists of Steve Chick, Sr., Steve Chick, Jr., Mandy Chick, Jennifer Chick, Mike Huffman, Mike Martin and Abby Martin.
